Another Aer Lingus flight and yet another temporary lounge. The Dublin-based carrier has now fully moved into Terminal Two at its home airport but its business lounge is not yet ready to accept fare-paying passengers.
Last time I flew with Aer Lingus from Dublin I was critical of their lounge over at Terminal One so I hope they manage to do better when their new lounge opens shortly.
At the moment they are the main occupant of the Priority Pass lounge at Terminal Two and I am told that they hope to have their permanent lounge up and running within a couple of weeks.
Given that the lounge move is due to happen so soon I have decided not to give a full review of this lounge in this post but already I can say that things are vast improvement on the old one.
Let’s just hope that the new one lives up to this early promise and that the uncomfortable seats and tiny round glass tables from the Terminal One lounge have been consigned to the skip.
One improvement I can report straight away is that the new lounge is well signposted once you get airside after the security screening checks. On my last visit to their old lounge at Terminal One I could not find a single sign pointing to their old lounge and had to ask a member of the airport staff for directions.
* I will post a fuller review once I have had an opportunity to sample the new lounge but until then why don’t you tell me about your airport lounge experiences – either good or bad.
